Julian Assange’s legal team has launched its final appeal in a bid to prevent his extradition from the UK to the US for charges of espionage.  Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has again asserted that he has made representations at the highest level of government in both the US and the UK.  Will that be enough to get Julian home?  There are serious concerns for his health if left in a US prison indefinitely.

His legal team and broader support network have grave fears about the consequence to his health if he ends up in a US prison.

At stake also is the implications this decision may have for laws surrounding freedom of the press.
