Come and join our great team at Fraser Coast FM 107.5! Our station is entirely managed and operated by valued volunteers. Get involved – we need friendly, dedicated volunteers to assist with the operations of the station.
An application is required. You can fill out the form below or pop into the station at 30 Halcro Street, Pialba (Monday – Thursday 9am – 12:30pm ) to pick up a volunteer pack.
You might like to be involved in one of the following areas:
- On Air Radio Presenter (on site training will be provided. (There is a $60 fee payable)
- Off Air Assistant – Telephone support for Presenters
- Production assistant
- IT
- Technical / Engineering
- Office administration – sound organisational, communication, current computer skills required including Microsoft Office.
- Fund Raising & Promotion
- Sausage Sizzle Captain and crew – we generally hold a Sausage Sizzle once every couple of months.
If you would like to join our team, firstly you need to join Fraser Coast FM 107.5 as a Member.
Step 1: Complete the Volunteer Membership Application (below) and download the attached documents, or pop into the station to fill in the form (Monday-Thursday 9am-12pm). Applications are considered at the monthly Management Meeting subsequent to your interview. and you will be advised of your membership status.
Step 2: Once we have received your application and Health Declaration, our Volunteer Co-ordinator will contact you to arrange an interview. You will be assessed to identify suitability and if successful, how you could contribute to our team. A team leader will then contact you to discuss any potential role. If you are applying to train as a presenter, you will be required to attend an interview with two members of the Management Committee.
Step 3: On acceptance, you will be required to pay a Membership Fee. You will need to have a current Blue Card (Volunteer status) to start actively volunteering. This is at no cost to you and can be applied for at the Blue Card website. Once you have your Blue Card, contact us to advise your linking number.
Step 4: Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch to arrange your onboarding training. This will generally take place over a two week period, usually on Monday or Thursday mornings at 10am. Allow up to two hours on site and a couple of hours for further at home work to familiarise yourself with the regulatory environment for Community Broadcasting.
